During this self-paced training course, participants will learn the basic concepts involving in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of a wind farm and the latest technologies.

Participants will be shown how a wind farm is designed and what factors influence the design choices. It will be shown how the wind turbines and support structures are transported and installed offshore in the wind farm. The O&M of a wind farm will be explained, the typical maintenance operations and frequency of maintenance for major components will be shown. Failures seen in wind farms will be shown, and how an operator manages the farm to achieve the required availability.

The offshore wind sector is currently undergoing massive growth. Within this training course anticipated developments in the areas of turbine type, installation techniques and grid connection will be shown.

The training course features a case on installing a wind farm and a short quiz to reinforce the learning outcomes. You receive 1-year unlimited access to the course. This allows you to review the material again if you need to refresh knowledge for your work projects .
