About Ali Mehmanparast

Dr. Ali Mehmanparast, currently serves as the Professor of Structural Integrity at the University of Strathclyde. Alongside this role, he is the manager of the Cranfield-Oxford-Strathclyde Universities Renewable Energy Marine Structures Centre for Doctoral Training. Engaging actively within the industry, Dr. Mehmanparast contributes to the Engineering Integrity Society (EIS) Durability and Fatigue committee, the UK Forum for Engineering Structural Integrity (FESI Council), and is a member of the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS). 

Dr. Mehmanparast has authored over 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the field of engineering structural integrity. In addition to his academic contributions, he has played key roles in projects with industry, such as the Structural Lifecycle Industry Collaboration (SLIC) Joint Industry Project. These projects encompass critical aspects like welding residual stress effects on fatigue life assessment, offshore wind turbine foundation flange study, and research on floating and fixed-bottom offshore wind turbine foundations.
