About Dr Mimoun Elboujdaini
Mimoun has vast experience in material R&D, and the management and coordination of projects on engineering materials, in particular on their properties and performance in various service environments. The projects covered the sectors of oil & gas, pipeline, mining industry, aluminum base alloys, stainless steels, and aerospace materials. He has led the interaction between a wide range of national and international companies, and research organizations to identify new R&D initiatives.
Over his career, Mimoun has delivered numerous training courses around the globe in material failure mechanisms such as SCC, hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC), sulfide stress cracking (SSC), and hydrogen embrittlement, and also in root cause analysis and fracture mechanics to personnel involved in pipeline activities.
Next to this, Mimoun has also published numerous peer-reviewed articles, and written book chapters on corrosion mechanisms.
