About Philip Bralsford

Phil is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) who is professionally qualified (MIMMM) in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy and Welding (MWeldI) and has more than 30 years manufacturing industry experience.

He provides independent consultancy services in Metallurgy, Welding, Failure Investigations, Forgings, Factory Production Control Systems to BS EN 1090 and Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001. 

He has successfully developed, delivered & marketed a wide range of vocational Materials Engineering training courses, including courses in Materials Science & Engineering; Composite Materials; Metallurgy of Ferrous & Non-Ferrous metals; Welding Engineering; Welding Inspection; Responsible Welding Coordination; Corrosion & Corrosion Engineering; Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Mechanical Testing & Mechanical Properties. 

Phil is an experienced Management Systems Auditor, with extensive experience in 1st, 2nd & 3rd party management systems audits & technical audits in the metals manufacturing, engineering, welding, fabrication & steel construction industries across a broad range of quality management systems standards including: ISO 9001, ISO 3834, BS EN ISO 14731, BS EN 1090-1 & the CARES Scheme Appendices.
