About Dr Tesfa Haile 

Tesfa is Genesis Data Solutions, Inc.'s founder and Managing Director. He founded the company after working in government research centers, private consulting firms, and academia for over 21 years. He was a Senior Scientist at InnoTech Alberta leading and managing materials and corrosion projects as Principal Investigator in a team composed of scientists, engineers, and technologists. In addition, he helped secure funding from Canadian Federal and Provincial Governments and the industry along with collaborators in Canada and around the world on a project entitled “Managing MIC in Canadian Onshore and Offshore Operations”. 

Tesfa was a MIC specialist at Broadsword Corrosion Engineering where he led biocorrosion projects from clients around the world including, Canada, India, and the Middle East, among others.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario and did a postdoc at CanmetMATERIALS, Natural Resources Canada.
