About Mikael Lauth

Mikael has more than 35 years of experience in using different FE-codes, pressure vessel and piping analysis software.

During his time at ABB Carbon, he dealt with thermal, stress, and code evaluation for PFBC power plants in Sweden, Spain, USA, Japan, Czech Republic, and Germany. He was responsible for the loading specification for very large pressure vessels, OD up to 19 meters at high pressure, and thermal rating for PFBC plants.

Mikael has knowledge of many piping and pressure vessel codes, for example, TKN87, RN78, B31.1, ASME VIII section 2 (Ch. 4 & 5), JIS, TRD, TRB, AD Merkblatt, DIN, EN 13480 and EN 13941.
