About the course
Learn in this masterclass about CCUS from the perspective of an engineer, mixing theory with practical explanations of how CCUS is being implemented. In this instructor-led session you guided by our specialist in CCSU Niels van Krunkelsven through the industry standard techniques for the Carbon Capture aspect of CCUS.
You will be taken through the steps in the Post-Combustion process including the process aspects of the absorber and stripper columns. The alternative Pre-combustion and Oxyfuel processes will be explained, and then compared to the post-combustion process. The energy to capture carbon dioxide is directly relevant to the evaluate the choice of CCSU technique and here the energy efficiency of the techniques including Direct Air Capture will be shown.
