To meet the goals of the Paris Agreement industry needs to become more sustainable. For this electrification of the industry to be able to use green energy sources such as solar will play an important role. Solar photovoltaic systems can be located directly on an industrial site to provide electrical power, but where to start from the perspective of design, commissioning, maintenance, and intermittency in power production?
This training course takes participants through the steps from designing to operating a solar photovoltaic system on an industrial site. The first modules explain the fundamental principles, the major components needed, and what legislation needs to be adhered to. System design calculations are then explained, including how these should be presented, requirements from the grid, and how to deal with underperformance. Participants are then taken through the installation, testing, and commissioning steps. The course concludes with two case studies based on real-life solar photovoltaic installations.
The course consists of 10 hours of live sessions with the instructors. All training content is provided through your EngineeringTrainer account.
After the course, you maintain 1-year unlimited access to the course, including any new course material. This allows you to perform modules again should you need to refresh your knowledge.
