Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) allows gas to be traded across the globe, not limiting producers or customers to available pipelines. The share of LNG in the global gas mix has been increasing for decades, and its share is only predicted to grow further.
This course, given by an experienced LNG plant team leader and trainer, gives a detailed overview of all the stages in an LNG plant. The participants will be led through the stages starting from removal of impurities and dehydration, through the refrigeration cycles and liquefaction system, to the MCHE. All will be explained from a process and operational perspective. Additionally students will also be taught how to troubleshoot common problems.
The course is formed of 8 sessions split across 4 training days. All modules will be live sessions with the instructor. All training materials will be available through your EngineeringTrainer account. After the course you maintain 1-year unlimited access to the course material. This allows you to perform modules again should you need to refresh your knowledge.
This training course is also available as a company in-house training, there is a choice between an online training or an onsite training.

After this course, you...
know about the Natural Gas physical properties, LNG properties, why we make LNG and Natural Gas Treatment.
understand about the Acid Gas Removal and Amine (aMDEA) Unit process conditions. You will also see typical issues that arise here and how these can be troubleshooted and solved, or avoided.
have a solid understanding of the Hydrates Formation, Dehydration and Molecular Sieves Unit. The range of process conditions, troubleshooting and how to solve operational problems will have been explained.
are familiar with the Natural Gas Liquefaction Unit, the heart of the plant. You will have been shown the Main Cryogenic Heat Exchanger MCHE-APCI and how this unique equipment works. The End Flash Loop and how this works will have been explained.
have seen the thermodynamic refrigeration cycles of the Propane Refrigeration Unit and Mixed Refrigeration Unit; how these units work and how to troubleshoot them.
know the key process aspects of an LNG Storage Tank, the BOG Loop and LNG Cargo Loading Facilities.
