About the course

Learn how to determine if there is adequate reinforcement at a nozzle/shell intersection according to the EN 13445 design code. In this on-demand course, participants will be taken through: the "pressure area method" used in EN 13445-3 Clause 9 for determining the necessary reinforcement of a nozzle or opening, its application for internal pressure loads and external loads (Clause 16), its application for shells and ends, which reinforcement can be included in the "pressure area method", the procedure for designing adjacent openings, when is an opening close to a discontinuity.
